580 West Nanjing Road

I went to popular 580 Nanjing Road (W) to check out the “Fashion and Accessories Plaza”. It obviously sounds more “luxurious” than it is.. sure they did that intentionally lol but I wasn’t disappointed at all. While you might not walk out of the plaza with bags full of new clothes, you most definitely would with bags full of shoes, handbags, belts, silk nighties, “100% cashmere” scarfs and souvenirs! It’s funny how they pressure you into buying stuff.. and then make you feel bad when you walk off (having negotiated over the price for well over 10mins and having them eventually agree on your 10% asking price offer lol) because you changed your mind. Yes, I’m almost certain I deserve the title of best haggler.. but then again, it’s not like they’d ever sell you anything (even if it’s your 10%) if they were not going to make the slightest profit out of the sale.. Chinese ppl are serious hustlers!! Anyway, enough said.. let the pictures do the talking!! šŸ™‚

I still didn’t get an answer to my curios mind as to the priceses. Are things cheaper ther in comparison to that of UK/

i would have been more prone to answering (right after u posed the question) if i knew WHO you were šŸ˜‰ *hint hint*

anyway- things (when going to the market) are obviously much cheaper.. but then again, u have to be prepared (mentally and time-wise) to haggle.
goods at “normal” stores (eg. mango, zara, h&m, etc)- and most especially luxury goods (perfumes, designer wear, “authentic” bags etc)- are much more expensive than their european equivalent (“luxury tax”)
